Dr Edward Bach originally trained as a physician and subsequently in Homeopathy, later working in Harley Street.
In the 1930s he started working on his flower remedies. The concept is an extension of herbal medicine, wherein certain
plants produce certain reactions in the body. The Bach Flower Remedies influence the client's underlying
energy that leads to negative thoughts and emotions, helping us to become more balanced in our views and actions.
While the causes of stress in our modern lives have increased, we as humans still have the same emotional and
mental responses to them so no new remedies have been needed since Dr Bach created his original remedies.
Treatment
begins with a half-hour consultation during which the therapist will identify the needs of the client and create a tailor-made
remedy for that particular client. The client takes the remedy in the prescribed manner and a follow-up consultation usually
takes place three to four weeks later. If the client's prescription needs adjusting - for new condtitions, or because
an element is no longer needed - it is done so at this stage. The cost of treatment includes any prescribed remedies.
The Bach Flower Remedy practitioner is Jacquie Rogers, BFRP (Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner).
